There are several riding stables within immediate proximity where riding excursions can be organised on the grounds of the wild life reserve of the Maremma Natural Park. By special appointment good riders can be invited to follow on horse-back the local cowboys (“Butteri”) as they direct the heards of long horned white cattle on horse-back. On the Argentario Peninsula adjacent to the Argentario Golf Club there is one of Italy’s best Polo grounds where Polo competitions are held regularly during spring, summer and fall months..
